Celebrating a Year of Success: Deducers’ Journey Empowering producers

As the curtains draw on the first year of Deducers, it's a moment of reflection and pride. This startup has begun to carve its niche in delivering professional development and training to the unsung heroes of the entertainment industry—producers in motion and post-production. The journey, though nascent, is marked by milestones that not only define our successes but also set the stage for our future endeavors.

Our Vision and Mission

Deducers was born out of a vision to bridge the gap in specialized training for producers. In an industry where technical skills and creative prowess are paramount, there was a void in structured professional development. Our mission was clear—to equip producers with the skills and the mindset to excel in the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of motion and post-production.

Triumphs of the First Year

1. First and second graduating class: Perhaps the most significant achievement of our first year was the graduation of our first and second classes. These students weren’t just learners; they were pioneers, setting the precedent for the quality and caliber of professionals Deducers aims to cultivate. We are ecstatic at their successes, humbled by their generosity, and pledge to remain loyal cheerleaders as they grow in their roles.

2. Curriculum Development: Behind the scenes, our day-to-day involved meticulous curriculum development. Crafting a curriculum that is both comprehensive and relevant to current industry standards was a challenge we embraced wholeheartedly. This painstaking process involved industry experts, feedback loops, and continuous iteration to ensure that our courses are at the forefront of professional training. We are deeply grateful for our SMEs, Darren Jaffe and Erin Kuttner, for their insights and dedication to our mission.

3. Industry Recognition: Gaining recognition from industry veterans was an unexpected yet gratifying triumph. Our approach and curriculum drew positive attention, setting a benchmark for quality education in this niche field. We acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contribution of our learning partner, Stash Magazine, whose collaboration has significantly enriched our program.

Goals for the Future

1. Strengthening Community: In the coming year, a key objective is to strengthen the community of producers within the industry. We envision this community not just as a network of past students but as a vibrant, interactive forum where ideas, experiences, and opportunities are shared and fostered. This community will be a cornerstone for ongoing professional development, mentorship, and collaboration among peers and industry leaders.

2. Enhancing Student Experience: We are committed to honing our curriculum, ensuring that it remains at the cutting edge of industry relevance and educational efficacy. This involves a continuous, dynamic process of refinement, integrating the latest industry insights and educational methodologies. Additionally, we plan to offer new training options, designed to increase accessibility and enrich our students' educational journey with us.

3. Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement remains a pillar of our ethos. We strive to stay ahead of the curve, regularly updating our courses to align with the latest trends and technologies in motion and post-production. This commitment to excellence is fundamental to our mission and is reflected in every aspect of our training programs.

As Deducers closes its first chapter, we stand proud of what we've achieved and excited for what the future holds. Our journey has just begun, and we are deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of producers, equipping them not just as proficient project managers but also as strategic visionaries who excel in orchestrating and driving projects to success. Here's to many more years of triumph, inspiration, and dedication in empowering the talents behind the screens.
